Twitter is one of those new applications that either you “get” or you don’t. Twitterers love the product for its ability to blast updates about your day to day life (“I’m at Starbucks, right now, getting a latte”) to your friends, and basically anybody who cares to “track you”. As a new convert to the twitter religion, however, i can appreciate the silent majority who believe that this is a pointless waste of time.

But our beat is not to cover websites. In general, a specific app for iphone will out-shine a website, and as of today, the current app lineup for iphone includes: twittervision, twittelator, and twitterific (covered here).

Twitterific’s core functionality is threefold: (1) peruse your twitter feed (2) post messages to your twitter friends, and (3) post pictures along with your tweets. In all these areas, the app performs exactly as you would expect it to. Twitterific is free and ad-supported, meaning small little ads appear (ocaisionaly) in your twitter click stream. .
